What is the PSI Pinnacle National Championship?

The PSI Pinnacle National Championship is an elite playoff series that was created to provide a platform for (non all-star) youth football teams to compete at a national level in a well-organized and professional manner. The Pinnacle will crown an UNDISPUTED National Champion at every age level from 6U flag & 7u -12U tackle teams

How does my team qualify to participate in the Pinnacle National Championships?

Qualifying Step #1 - Accept your Invite & Register: The invite will be sent by the PSI National Selection Committee to compete with the Best of the Best teams in North America. The PSI Pinnacle is the ONLY National Championship with exposure to over 30 millions fans and over 2000 youth football teams.

Qualifying Step #2 - Head Coach must get certified via PSI National League: The National League is a recognized governing body that provides and is equipped with a nationwide certification database for players & coaches. Teams that are PSI National affiliates will automatically qualify to compete in the PSI Pinnacle National Championship and will be selected by our National Selection Committee according to our 5 qualifying factors.

Qualifying Step #3 Team must certify through National Sports ID. To help maintain the integrity of our players, teams, and tournaments National Sports ID verifies the age/grade of youth athletes by providing approved Sports ID Cards.

Why is this a INVITE ONLY event?

Prior to the PSI Pinnacle, with some many events claiming to be "national" championship tournaments, Prospects by Sports Illustrated decided to host an event that truly displays the TRUE top teams, but also have the MOST national & international exposure like non other.. Thus our thorough research by our scouts on youth teams from across North America and the selection process by our National Selection Committee.

How is it different than other “national championships”?

Being that we, Prospects by Sports Illustrated, our reach, events & relationships across the globe allow us to bring TRUE exposure and recognition to teams, coaches & organizations who would otherwise go unnoticed. With over 30 million spectators, our national viewership is beyond any other Youth National Football Championship

What are the team age groups that are eligible to compete?

Teams must be 11 players in 6U Flag or 7U - 12U Tackle

What is the age cutoff for verification?

July 1st of the current year

When are certified rosters due in to National Sports ID?

Certified rosters are due to National Sports ID by December 12th of the current year.

Can I add players to my Fall season roster before the roster cutoff date of December 12th?

The answer is NO... any team found adding players that were not originally part of their "certified" league roster team before starting league play will be disqualified before, during and or after the tournament.

The Pinnacle is "stay to play event", where do I get info about hotels?
